he name STRATHEARN PARK LODGE was taken from history. Originally Scone was known as the Parish of Strathearn  -named after the Palace of Scone in the Scottish Valley which is an ancient crowning place of the Kings of Scotland. Many will recall Scone is also the last word in Shakespear's Macbeth. Today, Scone in the Upper Hunter is the essence of rural life with its famous horse studs, fine wines and rugged bushlands.

ur home grown lavender is a feature of Strathearn Park Lodge. Lavender can be found in our flower arrangements, bathrooms and our linen is dried on lavender bushes.

ARRY'S BOOTS are a feature of the country style hallway.
Harry Harvey and his wife Lucy owned the land, on which Strathearn Park Lodge now stands, prior to selling it to his daughter Lyn and her husband Peter Hale. Harry was the advisor on the planting of native trees and also taught Peter how to construct the many stone walls which are featured on the property. Sadly Harry passed away prior to the opening of Strathearn Park Lodge and his well worn boots are a reminder of the hard work and love that has gone into creating this beautiful retreat.
