Around the lodge

The Lodge is set on a peaceful 110 acres near Scone in the Upper Hunter, overlooking a magnificent valley of horse studs, dairies and farmland, and is surrounded by beautiful established gardens. The property offers plenty to explore. Take a stroll about the grounds, particularly beautiful in the early morning or late afternoon, and watch horse and kangaroos graze. There are plenty of spots within the gardens to enjoy a quiet read or venture further and take one of the walking tracks around the property. Our indoor solar heated pool is available for guest’s use. You will find it in a separate building to the front of the property. Feel free to explore our iconic shed, popular for wedding photoshoots. The shed was constructed from timber taken from the demolished stables of Scone’s Uniting Church, dating back to the 1840s. The main lounge area is for the use of all guests. With numerous comfortable sofas, an open fire, artworks and french windows opening onto the gardens it is a delightful room.
