A chance to visit the Tasmanian Devils this January!
2019 brings the opportunity to visit some of our cutest locals with Devil Ark opening its gates to the general public for the first time, from the 1st of January until the 27th of January.
The conservation facility at Tomalla was established in 2011 to house a breeding program for Tasmanian devils whose numbers in the wild have been decimated since the first case of Devil Facial Tumour Disease was documented in 1996.
Today the facility has over 150 healthy devils roaming across an enclosed 25 hectares. The area mimics the habitat and climate of Tasmania, making it the ideal breeding environment.
You are guaranteed to see Tasmanian devils in their natural habitat, along with a few other endangered species including the recently added Eastern quoll on your tour.

Where are they?:
The Devil Ark is located on Tomalla Road, Tomalla. It is approximately 23 kilometres from the Hunter Road turn-off, on Tomalla Road, on the Scone side of the Barrington. The location will be sign posted in January.
When are they open?:
Opening times are 10am-2pm, Tuesday, January 1 until Sunday, January 27, 2019.
Tickets are $30 per adult, $15 for children and $85 for a family (2 adults and 2 children. There are discounts available for groups of 10 or more.
Please be advised: The roads to Devil Ark are unsealed, steep and winding. Extreme care should be taken by drivers at all times and dawn, dusk and night driving should be avoided. A 4WD or AWD is preferred but not essential.
