What time is check-in?

from 2pm.

What time is check-out?

By 10am.

Is late check-out available?

Yes, depending on demand. For a $40 fee.

Can we arrive later or earlier?

Later is no problem. Earlier is fine, just give us prior notice.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for 48 hours notice on weekend bookings – Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. And 24 hours notice other days. Public Holidays ???

Are visitors allowed?

Yes, by prior arrangement.

Can I book the entire property?

Yes, but we recommend you book as early as possible.

Is there a minimum stay?

No. We welcome you for one night or more.

Do you have a changing seasonal tariff?

No. We have one price throughout the year. You can also save by booking directly with us.

Do you require a deposit?

No deposit is taken for your booking.

When do I have to pay?

We require full payment upon arrival.

Are meals available?

We only provide breakfast – a continental breakfast is included, a hot breakfast is available for $22pp. There are many great cafes and restaurants in the area (see our What To Do page) and you are welcome to brings meals back to your room. We can also arrange grazing plates and hampers with prior notice.

Do I need to bring anything?

No. You're welcome to but our suites and the lodge in general has everything you need for your stay.

Can the bed configuration change?

Yes, we can change the configuration to accommodate a queen bed plus a double bed with prior notice.

Is your accommodation child-friendly?

The lodge is primarily aimed at couples but we can add bedding for a baby or young child to your suite.

How many does a room accommodate?

Essentially two, with either a queen size bed or two singles. We can arrange bedding for children with notice.

Is there a BBQ for guests?

Yes, we have a BBQ and seating within our lovely grounds, plus a firepit area for guests to enjoy.

Are you near a town and amenities?

Sone is just 3km up the road and has everything you might need during your stay.

Is there public transport?

The Hunter train line comes through to Scone via Newcastle. Taxis are available in Scone and for pick up from the lodge. There are also local ride & share services.

What is there to do in the area?

The Upper Hunter features a range of attractions including stunning nature, horse riding, historic villages and quality wineries. Check our What To Do page for suggestions.

Where is the nearest horse riding?

As we're in the heart of horse country, there are lots of options nearby to get you in the saddle. Feel free to ask for our recommendations.

What is the weather like?

Like a lot of eastern NSW we have a humid subtropical climate. This means warm to hot summers and cool winters. Our hottest months are December and January where top temperatures often get well into the high 30s. June and July are the coldest months but days are mostly sunny with highs in the mid teens and cold nights. All year round is suitable for visiting. We just wish it would rain more!

Is smoking permitted?

Not in the lodge or pool house, or within range of other guests.
